TTT: Book Nerd Characters with Aila, from One Way or An Author

TTT was created at the Broke and the Bookish and we’re taking the liberty to make it a Top Ten Sunday 🙂

The Summer Blogger Promo Tour is hosted by the gals at The Book Bratz. We’ll be spotlighting a diffferent blogger every Sunday all the way through July and August. Today august 2nd Aila, from One Way or An Author shares some of her favorite characters who are also booknerds.

Pamela’s Picks

Sam Roth from the Wolves of Mercy Falls books, by Maggie Stiefvater

Samuel Roth, the love interest in this book, completely captured my heart in that first book. He works at a bookstore, writes songs,  and is knowlegeable in poetry. *swoon*

Katy Swartz from the Lux Series, by Jennifer L. Armentrout

And who could possibly forget about fellow book blogger Katy? The main character in the Lux series. Drools over hot aliens by day, and reads paranormal romance at night. Although some of her decisions and thought processes can be annoying sometimes, she’s a likable heroine with a good head on her shoulders.

Matilda, from Matilda 😀

Matilda is one of my own personal heroines. She stood up for what she liked, which was to learn, to grow and of course, to read!

Hermione, from Harry Potter and… (EACH ONE OF THEM), by J.K. Rowling

Hermione can’t never fail to appear in a list like this! She’s smart, and determined, and an example for all of us girls out there. Reading CAN save your life, and it seems like if you look hard enough, and do some light reading, all the answers you might want can be found in books.

Aila’s Picks

Cath from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

This writer AND reader was so involved with her book fandom Simon Snow that she wrote fan fiction about it.

Katy from the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout

Although Katy became some alien species, before that she was just another book blogger like you and me.

Celaena from the Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J Maas

I haven’t read this series myself, but I constantly hear of this kickass assassin’s fondness of books.

Jess from Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine

Jess is actually a book SMUGGLER who loves books, although he goes undercover and trains to become a scribe. Yup, books are a huge treasure in this book.

Hazel from The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

Hey. Her obsession with An Imperial Affliction by Peter van Houten counts, right?

Aila and I realized how much of a struggle it was for both of us to come up with fellow book nerds from books. She thinks it shows how much we need heroines who are librarians, bloggers, writers, or plain readers (Although, please no more shakespereans! Nothing against you, guys, but those MC’s in books get on my nerves.)

About Aila

I live in the suburbs of Florida and deal with the struggles of life by reading. Ever since I was young, I’ve always had a love of reading. You could always see me with a book in my hands! You know that feeling when you read a book, and everything around you disappears and all there is in the world is the story and you? That’s the feeling I try to find in every book I read.

Can you come up with other fellow bookish book nerds? You can always tell us your favs from our favs!
