About

Stories, creativity, and navigating career life

The DREAM

Welcome to Reverie Society

For the busy pro that works 9-5, crams a side hustle and their dozen hobbies 5-9, and then stays up late reading fanfics

I launched Reverie Society in 2014 under the name A Writer’s Tales to share my love for reading. Now, it’s the space to celebrate creativity while acknowledging most of us aren’t 18-year olds with too much time in our hands anymore.

Here, I share content across career, content creation, reading, and writing for people navigating adult life while trying to keep their creative spark alive.

If you’ve ever felt like your 9-5 and your 5-9 end up competing for real estate in your life, then this is the place for you.

Meet THE DAYDREAMER

Hey, I’m Pamela Alvarado

I’m a reader, writer, home barista, corporate marketing and UX girl

I used to think getting a corporate job was the worst fate for someone who -like me- only wanted to spend the whole day reading. It turned out, I’m quite passionate about a lot boring corporate stuff.

Though I’m still as passionate about writing my own novel as the teenager who first fell in love with Twilight, I ended up building a career in digital marketing and content creation. I’ve led and executed strategies for big local brands in my country, Ecuador, as well as international ones like Olive Garden, and Sebastian Yatra.

Additionally, I’m a founding member of The Lit Crew, a group of cultural ambassadors aiming to create more spaces for fans of YA literature in Ecuador.

Now I find myself in an eternal balance of my creative pursuits and building a career doing things I’m proud of. Reverie Society is for everyone who has a love for stories and is building something that means something.

I’m on a mission to change how people view creative pursuits

Stories matter and go beyond entertainment

Books, films, and fiction don’t just help us escape—they shape the way we understand ourselves, others, and the world.

Creative hobbies are an investment, not a distraction.

Your hobbies don’t need to be profitable to be valuable, and keeping them as such isn’t time wasted. It’s time to fuel your imagination.

Frameworks don’t limit creativity, they unlock it.

Inspiration and crazy ideas are great, but systems, frameworks, and intentional practice are what turn ideas into meaningful work.
