Top Ten Tuesday (7): Books That Have Left Me Empty

toptentuesday

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

It’s been a while since I last posted one of these :/ Missed it!

For today’s one, I’m telling you about the top ten books that have left me empty and like I couldn’t go on -That is, until I found another one to help me.

1. Angelfall, by Susan Ee

With that cliffhanger at the end… It wasn’t the bite your nails to the bone kind at first glance, but it had the same effect in how it was done. I was barely coherent after I finished it.

2. The Iron Knight, by Julie Kagawa

It goes without saying that Mrs. Kagawa is one of my favorite authors, and if it hadn’t setted in the three books before this one, it definitely did then. The Iron Knight shattered me.

3. Crash, by Nicole Williams

Unlike its succesors, Crash, has something unique that neither Clash, or Crush have. I feel like maybe Jude and Lucy’s story would’ve done better in my heart with just Crash, and one good ol’ fluffy epilogue. But man did this book stirred up my feels.

4. Just One Wish, by Janette Rallison

This one was a simple read: Funny, short, romantic, and yes, heartbreaking too. Even though some things worked out… others, sadly, didn’t. And that’s life. And I get it. But well, try telling that to yourself once you reach the end.

5. Tiger’s Destiny, by Colleen Houck

I read this series in a week. When I reached this last book, I was just stalling. I didn’t want it to end. Even if I was sick of reading about Kelly’s love plant, I also was in love with the two boys who -yes- are too good for her.

6. Into the Still Blue, by Veronica Rossi

It caught me by surprise, how much this series, this world hooked me, but they did. And when they finished, I just didn’t know what to do with myself

7. These Broken Stars, by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

Yes, it was the pretty cover. 🙂

But seriously, the story was so delightfully simple. A survival story. The soldier, and the high-society lady. But they way they started falling love was just so endearing that I was sad it was over.

8. Of Beast and Beauty, by Stacey Jay

*takes deep breath* Of Beast and Beauty shattered even more than the Iron Knight did. It was so bloody frustrating, and then sad, and then unbeliavably happy that I just couldn’t handle it.

9. Silver Shadows, by Richelle Mead

I don’t know why. I just picked up Bloodlines one day, and three days later, I was starting Silver Shadows, devouring the thing, my gaze racing across the page, when surprise! I realized I should’ve stalled here too. I wasn’t emotionally prepared for the wait. 🙁

10. Storm Fall, by Tracy Banghart

Mulan epicness folks. That’s all.

11. Extra: Talon, by Julie Kagawa

I finished Talon this past Saturday, and again, I wasn’t emotionally prepared for the ending. I knew. I knew what was going to happen. It was pretty obvious. It was just bound to take place, but still, there were some things that rocked me off my couch and made me squeal several times, making my friends ask me if I needed some water. Because, dragons, duh.

So, what are some books that have left you empty and with the need to just lay down and replay everyhting in your head?
