Top Ten Tuesday: Places books have made me want to visit
Hosted by: The Broke and the Bookish
1. The Nevernever:
There’s something that calls to me everytime I open my closet. I keep expecting to see a portal that will take me to the faerie world. No, not really haha. But even though I wouldn’t last a day trekking through Tir Na Nog or the Summer Court, But if I can snag a Puck or an Ash, it’ll be worth it!
2. India:
I’ve never had much interest in that culture, beyond their food. But The Tiger Curse series piqued my interest! I know not all that was in the books is true Indian folklore, but I know there are lot of traditions that are, andI’d love to take a look around the place.
3. New York:
Yes, yes, there are many reasons why people would like to visit this city, but me, because of it being the chosen setting of a few novels I’ve read. It seems like a place where anything could happen. Even alien invasions!
4. Narnia
No TV, but the magic maks up for it!
5. Hogwarts
I’d be lying if I told you it’s never crossed my mind.
6. Ravka
A land that comes to alive in Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha Trilogy, inspired in russian folklore. The worldbuilding in these books is so amazing I wouldn’t hesistate a second if someone gave me a ticket to this place.
7. Wonderland
I must be crazy for wanting to go. Or maybe I’d be crazy if I didn’t. What makes someone, or something, crazy?
8. Ixia or Sitia
From the Study series by Maria V. Snyder. These two neigbour countries are just too much fun to read about. I think I’d rather live in Sitia.
9. Greece
Why, greek mythology is one of my favorites. It’d be awesome to see where it all came from.
10. Middle Earth
Hey, one can dream. The only downside is how much people walk in that place *sigh*.
