How (Not) to Connect with People

connectwithpeople

As an introvert, but also a blogger who, while not super obssessed with numbers, does find comfort in having people around with whom to interact with; I know how important it is to actually reach out to those people. It can’t be a one-sided communication.

These are some things you can do to (not) connect with people.

Check Twitter everyday

And don’t interact a lot, or at all, if possible. Just keep your eye open for giveaways and RETWEET THOSE PRETTIES!

Scroll down your Bloglovin’ feed and read all the posts

Enjoy the blog awesomeness, but don’t even think about commenting. Who comments, really? Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Click the Add Post button on your blog

And just write a lame title, but not much of anything else. Or better yet, don’t write anything in the body of your post and as a title, write ‘lalalalala’. Works every time.

Do an active effort to go on a blog hopping spree

And then give up because you’ll soon get discouraged at not really having anything to say about anything!

Please save me!

I can’t connect with people!

connect

And yes, this has been my life lately. I’m trying to leave my hiatus and get back into the swing of things, but it’s hard, you know. And it’s not even just a virtual thing, it’s in real life too. I don’t know, it just feels like life goes on, but me, I’m on pause, and I’m waiting for something to happen, and I’m just standing by until then. 🙁

Of course, life doesn’t appreciate people just standing by. It just sweeps ’em along whether they’re prepared for it or not.

I get you Marlin, I get you.

So, since I’ve completely failed at the above ways of connecting with people XD, I decided to write this ‘I don’t know what I’m doing’ post. At least it’s honest!

That said, I’d love it if you could help me in some way! Got something interesting happening in your life? Tell me about it! Got a new post you wrote and think it’s awesome? Link to it! I just want to connect!

  1. ggggaaaaaaahhhhh so hard especially when you want to hide in an underground bunker and roast anyone who comes close. i’m kinda in the same boat T___T

i just came back from China, so that’s interesting (also means i have -17238712638791 recent posts that actually have substance to them). relative/mother’s friend-visiting mostly. i semi-hate airplanes now. however trains are good. VROOM.
i still feel like i’m there though because we’re rebuilding our house but the person we were renting from kicked us out. so we’re staying in one of my parents’ friend’s guest house. it feels so weird. and spidery (i am not scared of spiders… that would be bad).

    um what else
what are you writing currently? dragonses? (of course there are why am i asking) (oh wait a minute the thing i’m writing doesn’t have dragons in it yet WHAT)

    (new theme / format? yay!!!)

    1. You got me at CHINA! That’s amazing! I’ve never traveled across any of the big ponds. *heart eyes*

Actually, I did go back to my dear dragons for a while, but they’re on hold. I have so much prepared for them so I have to do everything right and start with no dragons. Patience, young one!

  2. Ugh! It’s the worst when you really WANT to connect, but you just don’t feel like it’s happening. Hopefully this little post will be a good self-reminder and will make you think twice when you start to follow your own bad advice next time. 🙂 (Easier said than done, right?)

  3. I totally get you! I find connecting with people a very hard thing to do, not just online but in real life too. I’m a very shy person, and I’d just rather stick my head in a book the whole day than talk to people. But really connecting with people is such a great thing, if I figure out what to say. As for the interesting thing happening in my life: I saw the cutest dog today! <3 Anyway, great post!

    1. Yes! I mean that’s the thing about being an introvert, it’s not that we don’t like people. WE LOVE THOSE HUMANS. We just don’t like to interact with them ALL THE TIME. But if we don’t interact at all, that can bring us down too. Hooray for the cute doggie! :3

  4. I totally get what you mean with this, and I’ve actually been feeling kind of the same at the moment. I’ve just moved house and have had all sorts of stuff happening, and seen as I’m a major introvert too, in my down time I’ve just wanted to sit on my own and read and not really connect with people. I’m just trying to get back into the swing of things again now with both life and blogging too, so hopefully we both get back to normal soon! Awesome post! I really related to this 🙂

    1. I saw! Congrats on having internet again! I can’t imagine what that must have been like! Three years ago, when I didn’t even have my blog yet, I had to go without internet for a month or so, and the experience still haunts me! Thanks for the encouragement!
