Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a great day! I’m here for another round of love this year with the Book Blogger Love-a-Thon event, hosted by Alexa, Cee, Hazel, and Mel.
Since I put some things in the About Me section, and I already did this the year before, I’ll do my best to add some things I haven’t mentioned before 🙂
1. What’s your name?
Hi, my name is Pamela Nicole. There was a time when I was obsessed with Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal and used the name Annie online. In fact, if you check my Twitter handle, it’s PamisOkay, which is a leftover from that phase 🙂
2. Where in the world are you blogging from?
Guayaquil, Ecuador.
3. How did you get into blogging in the first place?
I created a blog, I pretended to know what I was doing. I got bored and deleted blog.
I continued to look at blogs, found out that I’d never get anywhere if I didn’t put more effort and created another blog, forcing myself to comitt to it by making it a self-hosted one. The thought of letting my dad’s money go to waste made me research and get inspired. My baby was born and my life was never the same.
4. How did you come up with your blog name?
A fairy whispered it to me.
But before that, I chose my domain name on a whim, and then decided I couldn’t possibly name my blog Pamela Nicole Writes unless I’d be solely writing about my writing, or at least, mostly do so; so the fairy helped a little.
5. What genre do you read and review the most on your blog?
I read more widely than I review. My reviews are mostly about YA books, but I’ve been dabbling more into the Adult realm lately with Lisa Kleypas’ books. Seriously, that woman has a gift.
6. What other types of posts do you do on your blog, apart from reviews?
I’ve been on a discussion roll lately, and also, this year, there are some posts about spanish, both about the language, and the culture.
7. Best blogging experience so far?
I like it when I write a post that I just love in my bones and know it’s the kind of thing I’d like to read, but the absolutely best thing is when fellow blogger friends are interested, or amused, or found the post helpful in some way. When someone says ‘thank you’, it’s all so damn awesome :3
8. Favorite thing about the blogging community?
The world out there is hard enough as it is, the blogging community has made the online one like a paradise; of course, not without its drawbacks, but we all at least try to make it the best we can. We care about others, we help, we make friends.
9. Name the 5 books you want to read this 2016 that you didn’t get to in previous years!
- Ice Like Fire, by Sarah Raasch
- Undeniably Chosen, by Shelly Crane
- A Thousand Pieces of You, by Claudia Gray
- The Wrath and the Dawn, by Renee Ahdieh
- Stormdancer, by Jay Kristoff
10. What’s an underrated book or series that you think everyone should read?
The Rebel Wing books by Tracy Banghart! I can’t recommend those full of female-power awesome books! Did I mention it ressembles Mulan?!
11. Which book boy or girl would be your book BFF?
I’d still go with Puck, from The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa
12. Which book boy or girl would be your book boyfriend/girlfriend?
Um… just one?
13. Who would you recruit for your apocalypse squad (5 characters max)
- Penryn from Angelfall by Susan Ee (Duh)
- The Darkling from the Grisha series by Leigh Bardugo.
- Kale from the Denazen series by Jus Accardo. So badass :3
- Nina from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
- Yelena, from the Study series, by Maria V. Snyder
14. Apart from reading, what are your other hobbies or interests?
I go out to the movies with friends and try to be normal, I roleplay and write my stories, and I’m also really into languages.
15. Apart from book shopping, what else do you like shopping for?
I have a weakness for makeup.
16. At a party, the DJ suddenly changes the song – and it’s your song. What song would be playing?
Anything Imagine Dragons (Polaroid, Radioactive, Demons, Shots, It’s Time…). Except, that would never happen, but if it did, it’d be the only party I’d ever go to XD
17. Pick out either a book you want turned into a film/TV show, or a film/TV show you want turned into a book.
I’d love to see Talon, by Julie Kagawa made into a movie. Kickass dragons 😉
18. What would your dream library look like?
19. Author you want to meet and sit down to tea with?
Julie Kagawa, we’d talk about dragons and cats.

Aww this is great! I LOVE your thoughts about the community, I could not agree more! It’s just the best! And I also got into blogging by creating a blog, hating it, and then starting book blogging- that is just the way to go, apparently 😉
I now NEED to read Rebel Wing. You had me at Mulan! Also, your apocalypse squad is on point! You definitely need Penryn if you have to go apocalypsing. Nina’s also a solid choice. I don’t know if I could trust The Darkling though!
And I just have to say that I LOVE your design! The colors look gorgeous together, the fonts are perfect… I am just like, gazing happily at it! (And the gold is SHINY!!) Seriously, it’s fabulous!

OH MY GOSH! I LOVE meeting fellow Lisa Kleypas fans. She’s an amazing romance writer, and I really enjoy her books. Which of them is your favorite? I particularly love the Travis series and the Wallflowers series, although the Hathaways series is also incredible 😉
