Most of the bloggers I know are non native spanish speakers, so to mix things up in the blog a bit, and also to improve my own language skills, I’ve decided to post a couple of spanish, (and even french) basic lessons! How does that sound?!
There are many specialized sites out there that will teach you everything from the ABC’s to writing books in spanish, but I’m just aiming to give you a basic grasp on the grammar, and then some phrases you can use if you ever happen to travel to a spanish-speaking country. I really hope this turns out to be useful for you, and it’s something I’ve been planning for a while!
What you will learn:
- Pronouns
- Important verbs
- Conjugations
- Articles, adjectives
- Useful phrases
- Slang from Ecuador, Spain and Argentina.
I just have the barebones for now, but I’ll develop this more during the course of december and will probably start with the language awesomeness in January.
Why is this important?
You mean, why should you bother learning a language when school tortures you enough as it is? Yeah, I’d wonder the same thing. Anyone will tell you languages are important. But it is so NOW more than ever. The world no longer functions with people interacting just with fellow language speakers. In every community there are lots of cultures thrown in and it’s important to be able to communicate with as many as you can (supposing you have something to say 🙂 ) Politicians have always needed languages, businesses have always needed languages, but now it’s time for normal people like you and me to step up our game as well. Globalization is the real thing.
Perks
You’ll be able to learn at your own pace, review each lesson anytime you want by downloading the pdf version of it, and the best thing: I won’t send you homework! Well, I will suggest you to practice, and you will be able to submit anything you have written in the comments for me to review, but hey, I won’t grade you! XD
If you’re remotely interested in thi, consider signing up for updates so that when the posts are up, you don’t miss them!

Ooh, I really, truly like this idea because I’ve been learning Spanish for more than three years and ANY kind of help would be VERY welcomed because I seriously suck at it. Which is strange, considering that I managed to learn English pretty decently. Spanish grammar is just so hard to understand for me!

Then welcome! I’m happy to help 😀 And you’re right spanish grammar is the worst! Even for us it’s super hard. English grammar is way less complex.

I can’t wait for these posts! I’m a native English speaker, but I was taught French from the time I started school to the time I finished high school. Ever since, I’ve been on and off teaching myself French.
