This post serves as both an announcement, and an apologize. Lately, I’ve been changing headers like there is no tomorrow. And there’s a reason! I just didn’t ever feel entirely satisfied with what I got. I would pester my sister endlessly, asking for her opinion, but even when she seemed earnest about the prettiness, I couldn’t shake off that my headers were lacking something! And with the blogoversary drawing near, I felt I needed to change something even more!
Now, (this time’s for real, I swear) I think I’ve found THE ONE.
Remember this one? 😛
The Baby
This one was the very first, which then evolved to a more stylish one with just the title, in a script font, and the girl with the flag. I was happy with that that one for a long time. It was made on Ribbet, which at the time was awesome, but now… meh not so much.
The Pre-Adolescent
After learning a bit more about design, I decided I needed to rethink what I’d built and set as my brand, so I changed the logo, something I don’t regret at all. But… went back to a non-handwritten font, Special Elite, which I really love, because of it’s typewriter style. Also, I discovered Pic Monkey!
Teenager in Love
And here’s when I discovered Black Jack. The font. I totally fell in love with it, and it was reasonably better than Special Elite because it’s more feminine style suited that of the theme’s. Red roses everywhere.
Heart-Broken Teenager
I don’t know what the hell got into me this week, that I couldn’t stand the simplistic header anymore. I saw this beautiful pastel bouquet in Creative Market, and just needed to include it! I liked it so much I added it, twice. 😛 But I also couldn’t really get rid of the logo. Even though my initial idea had been to use the bouquet and the title only, I just couldn’t set the logo aside. So, this was what I came up with. My sister loved(s) it, but I felt even worse than before. It is nice, but… doesn’t it look a bit cluttered? I felt it looked exactly as if someone who knew nothing about designing had just slapped those elements together and BAM. I mean, yes, that’s pretty much what happens every time, but the point is it look super awesome nonetheless!
The Mature, but super Cool Young Adult
Today I went crazy.
No, really. I did. I was browsing around, looking for the Design your Own (Lovely) Blog -by the way, you should totally check it out- when in the results Google threw back at me, I had a millisecond to glimpse Canva, something about designing-free-beautiful. Those three words made me go back, open that one in a new window, and you know, explore.
That crap is Pic Monkey reloaded. Of course there are certain things Pic Monkey makes easier for me that Canva doesn’t, but I can’t deny how unbeliavably awesome it is. It helped me create that beauty you’re seeing above!
Replaced Black Jack with Clicker Script (Sorry!), and changed the logo’s flower color to match that of the title and the other flower. Honestly, that one was long overdue! Now it has a much cleaner look, it looks beautiful, it has the logo, like I wanted, and most important of all, I’m satisfied with it!
Never feel guilty about redesigning, or changing any aspect of your blog! It’s yours and the most important thing is that you like it!

I have to say the first one looked great to me – original, too. But the one you have now is very pretty! Love the colours.

Thank you! Green is my favorite color, so I just knew green had to be part of my colour scheme :3
