A new round of movies!
1. Cinderella
I’d been watching a lot of advertisement for this movie, and the actors, and producers kept going on and on about how they wanted to capture the original magic from the animated classic, and I would be like,
But, it turns out, I quite enjoyed this adaptation. I particularly liked the fact that Ella and the prince meet before the ball takes place, so it isn’t that insta-lovey. It didn’t let me down at all.
2. Les Choristes
My sister finally convinced me of watching Les Choristes and man, how I loved it. It’s the typical teacher/mentor changes boy/group of boys’ life/lives. But it was so preeetty. It’s a wonderful story, and sounds like something that could easily happen in real life, because it doesn’t really have your standard happy ending. It has a satisfying one.
And for your visual enjoyement:

3. The DUFF
Yes! I finally watched it! And what they were saying is true. It’s nothing like the book. That’s a given. But the thing is, if that’s a good thing or not. If you ask me, I’d say that this movie is one of those where you must ignore the fact that it’s based on a book and this one has an slightly different focus. I had laughs, and there were awkward moments, but that’s teenage life, and I had a really fun time watching it.
4. Insurgent
And at last, Insurgent. Like with the DUFF, I tried hard not to compare the movie with the book too much, and this way, I saved myself lots of bitterness. But, I still have some qualms about it. One, to be precise.
Tris is now like a sort of Chosen One. She’s a divergent, which is in itself, special, but she’s also a unique kind of divergent?
o.O
Bonus points to Theo James for cookie-baking hotness and to the movie for its special effects.
