Hi everyone! I know I don’t normally do wrap up posts, only when I truly have something to say, so let’s get started.
January was… slow. Very, very slow. At least bookish wise.
Review(s)
I also read I’ll Meet You There, by Heather Demetrios but I haven’t gotten to writing a review yet 🙁 I hopefully will soon though!
I was in a streak of ‘meh’ books. Fortunately, I’ll Meet You There kinda cured me from it. It was a 4.5 star book, I’d say. But that’s it, I read only two books. Two freaking books. I feel bad.
This must be my worst month ever. According to Goodreads I’m four books behind on my 70-book goal, and that’s kind of terrifying. I’m pretty sure I could catch up once I’m on break, but meanwhile, it’s just stressful. I’m used to reading books I like. It doesn’t happen to me often that I read two or three books in a row that I feel tempted to DNF, which is what happened with Wintersong, An Enchantment of Ravens, and Unearthed.
College
THROWS CONFETTI. I’mthisclose to finishing this semester, then it’s thesis time and then woohoo, I get to be an International Business Management engineer. Right now I’m working out what my thesis project will be. I want to do something about digital marketing that will be truly useful to entrepreneurs in my country. So we’ll see.
Business
I talked about how I’m setting up an online writing course in spanish. I’ve been doing the ground work, building an audience. It’s slow because of having been so involved in this community but not having reached out to spanish-speaking bookworms before, at least not ones who were in this community too. Exciting news, though, I’m set to give a writing workshop on the 24th!
Discussion Challenge
Aand back with the discussions! This thing really motivates me, so I’m a little late, but will definitely be continuing this year.
This gem is hosted by Nicole and Shannon
It’s awesome because you get to check out all the discussions by other bloggers in the linkup. It’s a great way to meet new people, discover new blogs, and step up your blog hopping game!
Have you ever had a ‘bad book’ streak? It’s not really a slump because I do want to read, but what happens if I don’t like any?!

How exciting you’re having a workshop! Sometimes the reading slump is so bad… hopefully you’ll find a book soon to break that. I’ve been loving the Discussion Challenge… it’s fun to find new bloggers you relate to. <3

I’ve been participating in it for the last two years and I love it!
Fortunately, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer has helped me out of the slump so that’s good! XD

Awww I’m sorry February wasn’t a good reading month for you! 🙁 I wouldn’t stress about it tho — when you read an amazing book after the three that sucked for January, you’ll love it so much more just because of the comparison between it and your previous books. 😊 And we’re barely into the year yet, I’m sure you’ll have an amazing reading session sometime this year and catch up to your Goodreads goal 😋 Good luck with reading, and I hope you find some amazing books during February!

Thanks for the well wishes! I started reading the Mara Dyer series and it’s got me completely hooked! So things are finally looking up!

Aw, we all have months like that where we read less books than usual. I’m sure you’ll be able to catch up, especially now you’ve broken your bad book streak. I’ve had that too where I’ve read a few not terrible, but not overly amazing books in a row, and it definitely slowed me down.
Best of luck setting up your online course! It sounds awesome! 🙂

Yeah, I feel I can now get back on my feet with my reading. It just sucks to feel so sluggish. And thank you! I’m very excited about it! <3
