Hi everyone! With Reverie Society’s birthday coming up, it got me thinking about where my blog was, how far it has come. I’m proud of that. Does it make me feel inadequate sometimes? Of course, but I try to look at the positive. It means I can only continue growing!
I’m in the middle of a lot of things right now. I know I can continue like I have been, but there are two problems:
- I really want for RS to not only barely get by
- I’m on the verge of starting a business and I fear the content creation that will go into that will leave my brain dry, and obviously I really don’t want to quit this blog.
- And also, yes, there are 3 of these. And also, I want to work harder at giving this space more of a sense of community. If it’s just me then it doesn’t really feel like a ‘society’.
On many occasions I have considered co-blogging, sizing the pros and cons, but I don’t think I’m ready for that, and I don’t want to let down my friends so I decided to start smallish at this calling for help thing. Call it my training wheels!
What I’m looking for
Basically, two kinds of lovely humans:
- Contributors
- Guest posters extraordinaires
Guest posters
I’m looking for some awesome people (I know you are, so no worries here) to guest post about different topics.
- You need to be able to reply to comments on your piece on the day of it being published 🙂
- No blog necessary, but obviously, it’d benefit you more if you have one so that we can link to it and people can find you!
- No ‘regularity’ of posts expected.
Benefits
- In terms of exposure, since the point is leveling up, the audience won’t be of hundreds 🙁 I apologize for that. Still though, posts will be promoted through twitter.
- Promoting posts on instagram doesn’t work as well, but shoutouts do (in moderation of course) So on post day, I’ll mention post, and also your IG account if you’ve got one!
Be a guest poster!
To submit a guest post only fill this contact form -also available at the Contact page– with an idea of what your post would be. Use Guest Post idea as subject line. Please refer to the content guidelines that are at the end of this post for more information about the kind of content we’ll be working on.

Contributors
These will be lovely humans who’ll pop up on the blog regularly on a schedule of their choosing. Contributors are like regular guest posters, who on the other hand have no obligation whatsoever to come up with posts on any sort of schedule.
Benefits
- Contributors actually get the role of contributors on the blog and get to write and edit their posts directly on the blog dashboard.
- As a result, contributors’ name appear on the post as the author when it’s published.
- Contributors and their blogs will be featured on a separate page
- They can choose a category or more to ‘specialize on’ and that will info will be displayed on the contributors page as well.
- Benefits of guest posters apply!
In the end, the only difference in terms of responsability is the schedule issue. I’m looking for people who can help me out in any sort of frequency ranging from 1 post a week to 1 post a month. I get that some of you have your own blogs to create content for, so I don’t want to impose an specific amount of dedication.
Be a contributor!
Applications will be open until September 15th

All in all, I hope we all have a great time and that this can be a rewarding experience for you. And if you have any questions, ask away! Either in the comments or through the contact form!
