Hello virtual peeps! You might have noticed the design change in A Writer’s Tales, and I have one confession to make: I was terrified about doing it.
It’s one thing to mess around with the header and sidebars, and other quite different to get rid of a color and welcome another!
For a while, I’d been debating a color change, but I love green! I didn’t know how to replace it with something equally or more awesome! And, that’s when I fell in love with gold.
Elegant, and mixed with the pink, chic as well.
And then came blue-black tone there that just had me super thrilled about this change. So, I mixed these two inspiring color palettes and voilá!
You might also notice that I did actually change the header as well, and not only its colors. It was sad for me to part from my beloved dragon + book. Especially the book, because from the very beginning, if there was anything, there was a book.
My blog is still fairly young in blogging terms, just a little over a year, but I already made the decision to leave behind the book blog label.
Lately I haven’t been feeling as inspired to write book reviews, and have taken an interest in sharing my love for languages with anyone who will come close enough. So, I couldn’t exactly keep having the book as a logo 🙁 A flower is neutral enough. And it’s pretty. 🙂
I’ve thrown myself wholeheartedly into the task of broadening the topics on the blog thanks to this inspiring post by Nellie & Co.
Of course I also have to thank Ashley from Nosegraze for making it so easy to mess around with the design anytime I want without major coding stuff through the genius Tweak Me theme.
Knowing myself, this won’t be the last time I change things up, but I’m excited to find out!

Ooh, I’ve heard so much about Tweak Me and many blogs I visit use that theme. Love the blog look! Simple but gorgeous and elegant!
